About LUB


Loudon Utilities Board (LUB) was founded in 1939 as a public power distributor on the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) electric power grid. As a public utility, it operates under the Municipal Electric Plant Act of 1935. It utilizes an appointed Power Board with a General Manager as it chief executive officer.

LUB provides electric, gas, water and sewer service to over 10,000 customers throughout Loudon and Monroe Counties.

Electric - Portions of Loudon & Monroe Counties in East Tennessee, including the cities of Loudon, Philadelphia & Vonore.

Gas - Portions of Loudon & Monroe Counties in East Tennessee, including the cities of Loudon, Philadelphia, Greenback & Vonore.

Water - Portions of Loudon & Monroe Counties in East Tennessee, including the cities of Loudon & Philadelphia.

Sewer - Within the corporate limits of the City of Loudon.
